Picture it: Los Angeles, 2017. Two men quit jobs they loved, packed up their two adorable dogs, and drove east, away from all the traffic and congestion of LA, to create a new life for themselves in a beautiful desert oasis. Those two men were my husband Stephen and me. And the beautiful desert oasis was Palm Springs.

Once we realized our dream by relocating to Palm Springs, we had to decide on our next career moves. We both were still many years away from retirement.

I got my start in the financial services industry in 1986. By the time we left Los Angeles, I had more than 30 years experience to bring to the Coachella Valley. So my goal was to get affiliated with a large, well known brokerage firm as quickly as possible. I did just that. And four years later I had built a successful enough business that I was able to establish my own firm, Heslin Wealth Management, and become a fully independent LPL Financial Advisor.

I am currently accepting new clients, but I am also happy to review existing accounts and retirement plans held at other firms. I can even help you determine your updated Risk Tolerance score. Throughout my career, I have sat across the desk from thousands of people and have worked closely with a variety of financial products and services. On a more personal note, I have always believed strongly in giving back to my community. Stephen and I are sustaining donors at DAP Health, as well as at The LGBTQ Center of the Coachella Valley, where we are also Emerald Level business partners.

Although I am married to a native Californian and have lived more than half my life here, I am still proud to say I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. I graduated from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where I studied Economics and French and walked away with both a degree, and a love for travel and being a citizen of the world.
